    NCB to reimburse late fees

    The National Commercial Bank (NCB) has indicated that it will be reimbursing late fees to customers impacted by the recent delayed salary payments.This is part of the bank’s efforts to compensate customers affected by challenges associated with the banks recent system upgrade.In a statement today (May 27, 2019) the bank invited customers to visit a branch and speak with a relationship officer or branch manager,  or send an email to [email protected], along with any supporting documentation so that the bank can review and address each issue as soon as possible.

    Reimbursements are available for customers who incurred late payment fees for utility companies as well as loans and credit cards held at other financial institutions due to the delayed payments.Similarly, NCB says it will ensure that customers do not incur late fees on NCB loan and credit card facilities.President and CEO of the NCB financial group Patrick Hylton said for customers concerned about the impact of late payments on their credit report, the bank will be working closely with the credit bureaus and other stakeholders, to mitigate this.

    Meantime, NCB extended its opening hours at branches today and tomorrow, up to 3:30 PM to facilitate customers who want to do their banking in-branch.
