The Sporting fraternity continue to mourn the passing this morning of former prime minister, sitting chairman of the Premier Leagues clubs association and sports administrator the honourable Edward Seaga.

Mr. Seaga at the time of his passing was president of the Tivoli gardens football club where he oversaw them winning five national premier league titles….he was also an integral part in the community’s netball and basketball programs for which he served as president.

The Jamaica football federation through president Michael Ricketts is among those paying tribute to Mr. Seaga.

The JFF in a release says many will speak of his role as a statesman; as a long serving member of parliament; of his love and promotion of all aspects of Jamaica’s culture but it is his passion and love for football and other sports, his awesome presence at club and national games and his sharp negotiating skills on behalf of the premier league clubs, which many in football admired and respected.

The JFF added that his chairmanship of the premier league clubs association and the professional football association of Jamaica brought renewed energy, commercial support and unity at the club level.

JFF president   Michael rickets in expressing his personal regrets revealed  that he  developed  a  great  relationship  with  Mr  Seaga  because  of  football.

The JFF hails the life and contribution of this legend and express condolences to his entire family, the premier league clubs association, KSAFA and the Tivoli gardens Football  club
